Volunteers form the core of our festival, and your invaluable contributions allow us to organize an extraordinary event. We are actively seeking dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals who are willing to lend a hand. Whether it’s helping with setup, assisting during workshops, or lending a hang behind the scenes, volunteers play a key role in making the event run smoothly. WHAT WE EXPECT…
- We require volunteers to be available throughout the festival weekend. Preference will be given to those who are also available to assist before and after the festival.
- Dedicate 5+ hours to festival tasks spread out throughout the festival weekend to ensure you have plenty of time to experience the event. Specific times will be chosen by Transcend Fest leadership.
- You must attend an essential orientation session prior to the event.
- Volunteers are responsible for their own accommodations, meals, and transportation. Details on nearby lodging (hotels) and camping options can be found on the website.
HOW TO JOIN…
- Open to anyone ages 18+ passionate about yoga, wellness, or spirituality. We plan to select 40 volunteers for the 2026 festivals for both VT and CT.
- Volunteer applications are available below, with selections beginning as qualified candidates come in.
- We will select volunteers based on availability, skills, and enthusiasm for our event.
VOLUNTEER TEAMS
Volunteers will be assigned to one or more of the below “Teams” based on their selection, skills, and expertise. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work closely with Festival Management gaining valuable skills and insights into the organization of large-scale events.
TRANSCEND VIBE TEAM
Responsible for creating and maintaining a high vibration of positivity, creativity, and excitement at the festival. This could mean public displays of art, dancing, body paint, taking classes that lack attendance, and being visible in the Mindful Market.
Requirements: Extroverted with a love of connecting with people. Special skills are a plus!
EX: Fire dancing, belly dancing, henna, aerial arts, live music, etc…
VENDOR & SPONSOR TEAM
Support our team in managing relationships with vendors, helping with setup, addressing vendor inquiries, and ensuring vendors have what they need. Assist in setting up and breaking down vendor space, organizing vendor materials, assisting vendors by watching their booths when they need to take a quick break, and ensuring the vendor area is clean and well-maintained.
Requirements: Customer service attitude, problem-solving, rolling up your sleeves and helping, good communication skills, and attention to detail.
TECH SUPPORT
Help ensure our teachers have great audio for their workshops. Ensure that each teacher can connect to our speaker via Bluetooth, disconnect after their workshop, they are set-up with the mic of their choice, and be available to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during their presentation.
Requirements: Requirements: A strong background in tech will be helpful.
SETUP/BREAKDOWN
Help prepare the venue including setting up, placing signage, decorations, and general maintenance tasks. Assist with break down at the end of the event.
Requirements: Can comfortably life a 30lb bag. Okay with manual labor.
REGISTRATION ASSISTANT
Assist in the check-in process, distribute event materials and swag bags, manage on-site ticket sales, and provide general support to attendees upon check-in during the festival.
Requirements: Being personable and enjoying customer service, quick with information and details, and multitasking.
MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM
Assist in managing live updates, engaging with online communities, and supporting the Social Media Manager in content creation. Support the Transcend photographer and videographers by capturing moments throughout the event, managing equipment, and assisting in interviews after workshops with attendees.
Requirements: Expertise OR love of yoga/wellness/spirituality social media, videography, and photography.
